Phone troubles

Interesting thing happened to me today. In a very unexpected way, I somehow lost my phone and I still haven't found it. I knew I had it with me in the car while driving to work because I remember checking the time to make sure I wouldn't be late. I think it slid under my ginormous bag in the front seat and I didn't notice it when leaving my car... On the top of everything I think I left my car open and someone swooshed it ...just like that. I got a little upset and even went back to my work to make sure I didn't leave it somewhere over there but no luck...  Then I asked myself what am I REALLY upset about? What was that important about that phone? Contacts ? Text messages ? Notes ? Apps?

I realized(oddly) that I really haven't been using my phones for calls unless it was my family...mostly my husband. Most of my friends and co-workers use text messaging or social media to stay in touch and it is kind of sad when I think about it... How relationships with people have changed and narrowed down to following each other on Facebook? I assume the thought is we don't need to speak to each other since we have this quick glimpse of  what is happening in our lives from our various posts...

I will miss the photos I took on my phone the most !! Everything else is pretty much replaceable...  My friends can find me ... Passwords to my e-mails can be changed... but treasures from my past fun-filled weekend can't.

Oh well ...
