Date Nights

Once every few weeks my husband and I make a point to try and get out of the house to have some fun together. Just the two of us. No kids, no friends... Date night. We either go to see a movie or a show or to grab a drink in some neighborhood bar. It is always SO much fun and reminds us that we still have lots to talk about and that we can enjoy our time without the kids being around. Nights like that make me realize that we still are best buddies!

This past weekend we went to The Logan Theater. Wes Anderson new movie " The Budapest Grand Hotel" came out and we both were looking forward to watching it.  The movie was great! Just like every Wes Anderson movie if you are a fan of his work. The location made the experience even better since we could carry in the drinks we ordered at the bar and the building itself is just beautiful. It's easy to marvel at the fully restored stained glass arch over the Theatre's entrance, refurbished marble walls, and the decorative relief panel dating back to the Theatre's elegant 1915 interior. The box office, concession area, and lobby have been expanded and remodeled with Art Deco details reminiscent of the original décor. It is very elegant and vintage. I love catching movies in that place.
